Festival Gateau with strawberries, cream and custard. Adding strawberries to this gateau made me think of the Japanese sweets yuki ichigo (snow strawberries) they are individual cream treats with a sponge base, they contain a whole strawberry covered with cream and a dome of sweet mochi (pounded sticky rice)
