Patrick's Day this year (last year I held a dinner party) but I did make an Irish Stew. About an hour from the end of cooking, add the cabbage chunks to the top of the stew

Easy Irish Stew

An easy version of the traditional Irish stew. The pearl barley soaks up all of the flavours from the meat, vegetables and stock and means you get a real burst of flavour in every mouthful, it also helps to thicken the stock meaning that the stew isn’t as watery

Irish Pork Stew

Cut potatoes in chunks and add to the stew, simmering until tender. Stir 1/4 cup parsley and balsamic vinegar into stew, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer until pork and veggies are almost tender

Mix the flour with a little water in a cup and add to the stew to thicken the sauce. Add the roughly chopped onion, leek, and carrots cut in chunks and continue to brown until the onions turn translucent
