Of course, if you are a plum-phobe, feel free to mix up the fruit (although do be careful to not use incredibly moist fruit as it will create a crumbly mess and a soggy bottom – however delicious it will remain, Mary Berry would not approve) and if you really like your almond flavours, amplify it even more with a tablespoon or so of Amaretto
